Notes

My cat loves the first Snuggly Cat Bed I made her, but that project was a learning piece for me. Now I’m stashbusting and knitting a tighter gauge so the stuffing doesn’t show through.

Knitted with two strands of bulky yarn held together.

I knitted a tube (in the round) for double-layer squooshiness on the base. Then I laid the tube flat and picked up sts around the perimeter and knitted in the round to create an edge that would fold over and join to the base, stuffed like a pillow all the way around, increasing and then decreasing at the corners. To finish, I did a sort of 3-needle bind off while stuffing with polyfill as I went along: pick up 1 stitch from the base with the left needle, then knit that stitch with the “real” stitch next to it. This binds the border/roll/edge to the base. Bind off as you go.
