My mother and I are each going to knit one of these. She bought the same yarn in purple.

My gauge is a little off (about 19 sts/4” after soaking), so I’m following the pattern for the second size, aiming to end up with a size somewhere between the first two sizes (ordinarily I’d make the 35” size).

11 September 2010: I’ve just completed the garter stitch increases, but I’m concerned I’m nowhere near the point of making the third buttonhole. After reading a few forum threads, I’m going to continue with the eyelet increases, then just work more garter stitch till that third buttonhole is made. Then I’ll assess for separating for the sleeves.
