My skeins were 475 yards (35 yards longer than the pattern called for) and I ran out of yarn on the 12 stripe of the contrasting color (teal for me). My gauge was 24 stitches to 4 inches before blocking. I kept the twelfth stripe in, it is just missing one final short row.
