I made up this pattern from a combination of Ann Norling’s pattern “Basic Mittens on Four Needles” and Deborah Newton’s “Garter-Cuff Gloves and Mittens” from Weekend Knitting, plus my own improvisation for the flip-top mitten.

I don’t have any photos from when they were new, and by now they have been worn into oblivion. Luckily I wrote down the entire pattern at the time, so I can knit another pair if I need to.
