July 24: I uncovered nearly 5 hanks of this yarn, which should be enough for a sleeveless Everyday Cardigan.

I’m tweaking my pattern to adhere more to standard fit guidelines (this is a test for that), and adding a few sizes on the larger end as well.

July 26: Argh! I knit the entire yoke before I realized I was knitting the 34 and not the 38. I hate to rip back. I think I may just continue on and plan to not wear it closed…

July 27: Got 50 rows in and decided to frog it. Besides having knit the wrong size, the mods I made to adhere to standard guidelines were miscalculated and the yoke was not deep enough.

Aug 1: Took a week off from it, but I think it’s time to start this again. And this time I’m going to stick to the original pattern (aside from sleeve length). Why mess with what works?

Aug 8: The good news is that I finished in a week and this yarn is so squishy and lovely! The bad news is that my gauge was way off and I have about 8 inches of ease in this thing. Not what I was going for at all. Not sure if I should just live with it or start over (again).
