I am using this yarn because I have a cone of it in my stash, but the bigger my project gets the less I like the color. It’s actually one of my favorite colors, but I don’t think I like it for a vest. I am considering over-dying it something dark when it’s complete. We’ll see.

Finished! I still lean towards dying it. I have a nice dark brown picked out.

For the tie, I just chained for about 3 feet, and thread it through the holes in the vest. It’s easily removable or adjustable, so I can change how I wear it at any time.
