note: there is an error in the slip stitch pattern. You should skip the “wyif” if you want your stitch count to be correct. That “wyif” creates an increase you don’t want.
12/1 sleeves and body done. set aside to work on a winter sweater
11/5 - one sleeve done and so far the measurments are perfect. The yarn has a lovely feel to it and will be perfect for the spring.
The yarn was bought to make the Nashua leaf cardigan, following the recomendations on the Purl Bee. But I didn’t really love how the yarn knitted up on size 6 needles and realized that the guage and the weight of the yarn were perfect for this sweater. I bought this book just for this sweater, never thinking I would ever have a little girl of my own to knit for! I have tried it already with Blue Sky yarn, but it just didn’t work out, despite having knit guage swatches. I’m starting with the sleeves to make sure the guage is correct so I don’t waste a lot of time on the body if it doesn’t work.
