Notes

ETA: FINISHED! Will upload photos asap. I may need to do some creative altering, though, because the point of the heel seems to be too long and so sticks out the back of my foot a bit in my slides or crocs…

Also, this “looser cast-off” is not very loose at all. I am contemplating casting off using tunisian crochet with a larger hook than the 2 mm needles that I use for the socks (but I cannot remember what the smallest tc hook I have is - I may have to improvise with a normal crochet hook.***

I am knitting Monkey, toe-up (and so the pattern is upside down but looks fine all-knit) and have just under two balls (just under 200g and 600 m total) of this yarn to use.

I will no doubt call upon the experience gained doing my All knit Monkeys top-down.

Used this cast-on to a short-row (this method) toe. I cast on 80 st and then did the short row toe on 40 and so I only used that cast-on method as a guideline. Magic loop, as I always do.

This is not my first toe-up sock but I have done them with a provisional cast-on in the past and fancy trying something new!
