NOTE: this pattern will be listed as improvised until I create the Ravelry listing for it. It will be offered in my Rav pattern store under “The Purl in the Oyster” banner.
This afghan is one of my latest designs-in-progress. It is a knitted MAM that is lacy and feminine without being too open to be practical. It was designed and named for my youngest daughter, Melissa.
It is done in strips which makes the finished size easy to adjust. Instructions for crocheting or sewing the strips together will be included. Additionally, since it is designed to be an easily portable project, cut-outs with the stitch repeat sized for 3x5 and 4x6 index cards are included.
At this time I haven’t decided on an edging, but it is likely to be an applied-as-you-go knitted edging. I will make that decision later when the afghan is closer to assembly.
