This took just over one skein of the yarn I used. If I had stopped at the end of my first skein it would have been just a little thin for my taste.

The pattern is serious when it says to cast off with a smaller needle. I decided to skip that step and cast off with the needle I had used all along. The cast off end is flared way out compared the cast on end. Like a trumpet. I did not pull out my cast off and re-do it though. I wear it flare-end down and the flare gives a bit of warmth to the top of my shoulders.

This project was quick, but certainly not the advertised “1-hour.” I would estimate it took me 3 hours start to finish.
