Notes

I have pretty small feet (US 7) but high arches, and I find these to be extremely snug following the pattern as written. The bias pattern takes all of the give out of the fabric.

Took some updated photos 5.5 years later. I gotta tell you, these socks are really tough to get on. Once I have them on my feet, they strangely feel like they fit pretty well, but getting them on is a wresting match. Something about the way the heel is constructed makes it very difficult to pull up and around your arch. To the point where I worry I’m going to bust a stitch pulling so hard. The bind off is definitely loose enough, it’s the construction of the heel that creates a super tight band around your ankle that is tough to get around the widest part of your heel before it’s in place at the back of your heel. To be honest, I only wear these about once a year. It’s really too bad, because once they are on, they feel like a dream.
