Gauge is 25spi. I’m alternating skeins every two rows.
9.26.2011
At about 9.5” of body right now. I have a feeling that once can focus solely on this project it will come together pretty quickly.
10.2.2011
Both fronts are finished and I’m about half done with the back.
10.3.11
I joined shoulders tonight and tried it on. It seems like it may be too tight! Not sure if I should continue on or pull it all out and start over.
10.4.11
So I blocked it today to see if it would grow. No such luck. I’m going to have to rip out the body and reknit.
10.24.11
Finally ripped out the sweater. Am going to wash and reskein the yarn then start again. Bleh.
10.29.11
Finally reskeined and washed all ripped yarn to get the kinks out. Now I just need to wait for it to dry so I can get started, again.
1.5.2012
This week I’ve gotten back into the swing of working on this sweater. It has taken me four days to get through the ribbing, which I now remember was really tedious. I think I’m going to modify the waist shaping since I’m generally not as hourglass as patterns call for.
2.20.2012
Finished sleeve #1! I can’t believe this project is taking me so long. I still have one more sleeve and then button bands and collar.
3.4.2012
I finished sleeve #2 today. I’ve woven in all the ends (and there were a lot!) and have it soaking right now. I’m going to block it before I add the button bands and collar.
3.5.2012
I tried on the sweater today to make sure it actually fits this time and it does! Moving on
3.10.2012
Button bands and applied I-cord are done. I bought buttons today. I also bought grosgrain ribbon and backing buttons just in case the button bands prove too flimsy. I’m not going to completely wet block it again, I’ll most likely just steam it out.
3.16.2012
Finally done! I used the ribbon on the button side (not the button hole side) to give it some stability and amazingly enough I think it’s going to be fine. Even with my extra large bust right now (thanks to the pregnancy) it closes with minimal pulling. So when things go down a bit, it’ll be fine.
