Was just a hair under the correct gauge. Measure 32” bust so considering the gauge business I’m casting on for the 40”.

This is working up so quickly! I’ve already separated for the sleeves and probably have about 5” on the body. Will I have this done in time to wear for Friday when temps are supposed to drop back down into the 50s?

Didn’t get a lot of time to work on this today but am at about 9” for the body. I posted a tutorial on my blog about how I cable without a cable needle. Makes this go a lot faster.

Started ribbing on body tonight. Woo hoo!

Cast off the ribbing this afternoon using a size 10 3/4 (7mm) needle. Just the right amount of stretchiness.

Finished sleeve #1 today and realized (after completion) that the skein used was noticeably darker in color than the skeins used in the yoke. Additionally, the sleeve is really tight and I’m considering ripping it out and re-knitting.

Ripped out sleeve. It was just way too tight. I’m only doing one decrease now which gives me an equal number cables around the sleeve. I also switched to a different skein that it matching the yoke better.

Finished sleeve #1 again. Decreased two stitches after initial pick-up round (42sts for entire length of sleeve) and two more on the round right before starting the ribbing (40sts). Sleeve took more than one full skein.
