8/21: Finished the last segment today. Now tucking in ends before blocking! Did end up with 111 segments.

8/15: started the second skein of jojoland. The first one lasted through 70 of my modified segments. Second skein of black lasted through 74 segments. I plan to knit until the deadline or I run out of black, whichever comes first! Based on history, I should have enough black for 111 segments!

8/13: Up to 64 segments! Will need the 3rd black skein soon, and will start the second colored skein soon there after. Worried about finding a spot in the next skein that will match!

8/11: Have 40 segments! Started the second skein of black on segment 37.

8/8: This project took a rest while I worked on things for the fair. Now that entry time has passed, I’m back working on it. Up to 29 segments!

7/28: Cast on yesterday. Was considering changing out the black yarn as the weights of these two are really different. Decided to continue though as it became less of an issue as I progressed. Been knitting away at softball and have 18 segments done! Watching the color progression is addicting!

Will use the i-cord edging suggestion and slip 2 stitches at each edge instead of 1. Also plan to use multiples of 8 rather than 6 to make it a bit wider but will keep the garter stitch edges effectively at 6 and 12 sts. This means I need to cast on 52 sts. Short rows at 24, 16 and 8 sts.
