7/21 Done and done!!! Totally in love with it!
Mods:
- DK weight yarn
- Used a beaded crochet cast off using a US G crochet hook for the bind off, a US 9 tiny crochet hook to add the size 6 (E) seed beads
- Only three rows of garter in the final garter section (only because I was running low on yarn and didn’t want to risk being short since I wasn’t initially sure what bind-off I was going to use)
Nothing huge - except for the bind-off. I’m all around happy with this project =D
I blogged about it!

7/13 I still love this yarn, but the thin parts are driving me nuts. I’ve had to break this yarn and rejoining it further up the line because its gotten scary thin. Soooo many ends to weave in later.
6/27 Love. This. Yarn.
6/20 Still lovin’ the hell out of this pattern and the Noro but is it me or can Noro get a little overspun in places? Don’t get me wrong! I love the thick and thin aspects of this yarn, its just that the really thin bits totallly curl up on you while you’re pulling it out of the skein. Still freakin’ looooovvvvveeee it.
6/18 A) I can’t believe I’m starting another shawl - I just got one off these needles!!! I just couldn’t help myself! B) I can’t believe I’m using a Noro brand yarn and loving it. I bought this at a sale and its been sitting in my stash for a while. But lately its been calling to me to knit it up. I love how its thick and thin and the stripes of color are AWESOME. LOVE THIS YARN. I will say, of all of the Noro yarns I’ve molested this is one of the softer ones I’ve come across (there’s another one that I like too…mostly silk and mohair maybe?) They do, however, need to work on naming their colorways with just numbers. Lame. C) Love this pattern. Yes, a million people have made this pattern, but I can understand why. It shows off color changing yarn nicely and its easy enough to be tv knitting but interesting enough that you aren’t completely bored to tears by mindless garter (totally Burn Notice Season 5 knitting). Pretty yarn, good pattern and shawl TRIFECTA
