Use leftover yarns. Probably from Red Heart Super Saver.

Mods:
I use hdc for the last 2 rows (row 5 & 6) of the base when I realize the width was a little too small for the intent of this bag.

3dc in the front loop on row 7. This would help define the “line” from base and side of bag.

As I wanted my bag to have a slightly wider top than the base, the rose pink yarn I used is slightly thicker than the red yarn. Hence, creating a wider top.

I only did 16 rows of the body of the bag, as that is the height that my “little boss” wants it ;)

Added a button loop on the inside of bag, when doing the sc row.

For the picot edging, from the 1st picot made, I sl st in the next 3 sc, before each picot to keep the shape of wider top. Picot will be in the middle dc.
