~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I based these mitts and matching ear warmer on the stitch pattern used for the Everyday Brew Hat by Claire Devine.
Mitts:
I cast on 40 stitches using the Twisted Loop Cast On from page 16 of Cap Sease’s book Cast On, Cast Off. This is the first time I have ever used this cast on. My first impressions: it’s easy to do, very stretchy, and looks good.
Ear Warmer:
I cast on 100 stitches using the Twisted Loop Cast On. I knit 6 rounds of ribbing, 3-and-a-half repeats of the stitch pattern, 6 more rounds of ribbing, then I bound off using the Russian bind off, but knitting through the front loops instead of the back loops.
