Despite it being a bit short (see notes below) I’m pretty happy with how it turned out. Because of the length it will only be worn with high waisted skirts.
It was a pretty arduous knit. This is mainly due to the large amount of 1x1 twisted rib knitted english style.
If you are planning to make this, think seriously about adding more length - I knitted 60 rounds of the first section, 24 of the second and third and 15 of the fourth section, rather than 40, 18 and 10, respectively. I more or less got gauge, so the modifications equated to around an extra 12cm, and it could still be longer.
Besides the modifications to the length, I also knit this one size smaller than normal because of the yarn. It’s probably a bit tighter than other versions of Bottom’s Up, but I suspect the fabric will relax a bit with wear. I also used slip 1, knit 1, psso rather than k2 tbl because the latter was a bit hard on my hands using the linen yarn.
