Notes

Using the apples and oranges pattern, I knit a covered tape measure. When seaming two halves together, it’s easiest to start sewing them without the tape measure between the pieces. Then, when you get just over halfway, insert tape measure and finish seaming.

The “stem” is too bulky for this cover when it’s not pretending to be fruit. Next time I would do 4 rows St. St. before decreases and 4 rows after increases to minimize the bulk.

Embroidered letter using Susan Anderson’s wrapped stitches technique. Tutorial can be found HERE. Technique taken from the Frenchie hat in Itty Bitty Nursery.
