Notes

I intended to only modify the flaps and CO edge with garter stitch. As I knit, I decided to throw in some random garter stitch stripes. As I was decreasing, I decided to try to make the top pointy for fun. I have no idea how to do such things. I winged it.

When I was finished, I couldn’t believe it--the hat looks like I tried to imitate the traditional hats Thai Khon dancers wear. Or like the chedi (stupa) of a Thai temple. Or maybe I just have Thailand on the brain. In any case, I love it, and Tea looks so cute in it!

I kept notes of how I adjusted the pattern in case I ever want to do it again. I doubt there’s any demand for a “chedi” hat, but if anyone’s interested, send me a note and I’d be happy to share.
