I finished the blanket! But I so totally forgot to get a picture of it in its’ final transformation!!! My camera was dead and I didn’t think to grab a shot once it was charged. Then I rushed it out the door on Friday to ship it out.
The back had to be replaced with a different fabric. I messed up the cut and it ended up being too small. So, still flannel, still with the right shades of blue and green on a white background.

I found the perfect fabric to back the blanket!!! To make sure and minimize future shrinkage, I washed it in hot water. I plan to put on the backing on Sunday.

I’m almost done. The new pictures are the completed blanket showing the front, a little bit of curl left on the edge and the back. I’m going to be adding a flannel backing to it to hide the weave-ins. If I was using this for a pillow or apparel I wouldn’t worry about it. Anyway, enjoy the images.

I started this project on the 24th of October. Originally I was going to knit this lovely but I was frustrated with all the color changes. I ripped it back and tried it using sc stitches but I kept screwing up the color changes. So, about three weeks later, I finally settled on using Tunisian crochet and have been making slow, steady progress. As of today, I am 2/3 done. I dread weaving in all the ends but I am not allowing myself to continue any other projects until this project is completed (this is a home-focused project… I do have travel projects that I work on away from home.)
