Knit one round.

Begin thumb gusset . Knit 27 sts, pm, m1r, k1, m1l, pm, knit to end of round

Inc every 3 rounds twice, then every 4 rounds 4x.

On next round place thumb gusset sts on scrap yarn, CO 3 stitches using e cast on, Knit to end of round.
Next round: Knit
Next round: knot decreasing the 3 stitches to 1 stitch.

Knit to 1/2” shorter than desired length.
Next round: knit
Next round: k2tog, p1, k1, p1 repeat to end of round end with a p2tog.
Knit desired rounds, then cast off in pattern.

Thumb gusset: place stitches back on needles. Pick up and knit 3 stitches in the gap, knit to end of round.

Knit even to desired length.

Cast off in purl stitch.
