This project began an adventure in knowledge translation and cables. I cast on while at a conference meant to connect knowledge professionals from across Canada. (I work as a freelance knowledge translation and exchange professional who helps move knowledge into the hands of those who can put it into practice.)

As knowledge fed my brain and the yarn fed my needles I connected with like minded individuals as well as another knitter or two. One never knows where one will find knitters!

January 2013 Update
I have decided to clear up my WIPs. These socks have traveled to Banff, AB, Toronto, ON, Regina, SK, and Brooks, AB. They are well-traveled and deserving of some loving attention. I expect to be wearing them by the end of this week (Jan 7 - 12, 2013).
