2 Oct: I’m really glad I started again with only 140 sts. It will be a nice high waisted skirt (I’ll definitely be elasticising the waist) and will still sit just below my knees. My only concern is the see through factor, but I think you’ll only see a silhouette so I’ll deal with that when I come to it - I am kind of wishing I’d gone down to 4mm needles…

18 Sept: I cast on for the smallest size but having completed 3 repeats I realized the size would be all wrong for me. As a a skirt it would be way to full for my taste & almost reach the floor, and as a dress I think it would end up being too heavy for someone without any bossom to help hold it up.

My solution, start again but cast on 140 sts & start at the 4th repeat. So far so good.
