Having knitted wardrobes full of Barbie clothes, this is my first crocheted offering. The fabric produced is thicker than it would be if knitted, however it’s not so thick that it’s immovable and still creates a lovely garment.

I made it exactly as written in the pattern. Loved the rib pattern, which really finishes it off for a great fit.

A couple of things I would change next time:

The chart for the colour work motif is great, however working it as you go takes a lot longer than it could. Perfect for working on a single crochet background, I would complete the front in orange and cross stitch the face on afterwards.

There is a gap at the back/neck opening, which is great for fit but not as aesthetic. I would create a small overlap to cover that small piece of exposed back.
