I followed this pattern for the first six or so rounds, and then wandered off, adjusting as mentioned, increasing more for curling and less increases for wrinkles, occasionally not increasing at all. Sometimes, I adjusted within the round, especially if one side started to curl or wrinkle, but not the other.

This is a great experiment in intuitive crocheting. If you encounter minor wrinkles at the end, you can mist with a water bottle and flatten most of them with a hot iron. I listed some rag crocheting tips on my journal, if you check out the “posts” tab at the top of the page.
