I love love love this pattern. My new go-to for gift mittens? Perhaps. I’m making the same mods as on my last Grove - an additional eight stitches equally divided between the front and back, which works out to two additional stitches on each side of the pattern (worked in pattern, so two rows are added in each repeat) and two additional stitches on the palm. I leave the thumb as-is, so for awhile, your pattern chart and thumb chart don’t quite match up. It’s okay - it all works out in the end.
