Socky goodness! I am so pleased with these…

I wanted a plain DK sock pattern to show off the yarn, but noticed that a lot of patterns seemed to be geared up for making rather large socks (not ideal for my small feet).

So I was happy to find an online pattern generator by Violet Green (http://violetgreen.co.uk/sock_pattern_calculator_dk.php) which generates a customised pattern based on your foot size and foot circumference. I had a few hiccups with the auto-generated stitch count not making sense a few times, but nothing that couldn’t be solved with an application of common sense.

I knit these on a set of five 3mm ‘sox stix’ from Lantern Moon.

And get this… I made a whole pair of socks from ONE skein. (OK, they were for my weeny feet, but I even had yarn left over… amazing!)
