Ok so this started off easy, then got confusing, and then got easy again! I found the fronts were easy and quick to do, and the back was fine too. It was just when I started reading about the sleeves that I got confused!

“The sleeves are crochet from the armhole and downwards. Crochet 28-32-33-35-39 tr along one of the armholes (do not crochet in the first 3 tr cast off at each side).”

It took me a lot of thought and a lot of poking around here on Ravelry to figure out what I was supposed to do about the 3 tr left over on each side.

What you do is what it says - leave the last 3 stitches and work on the sleeve. Then when you come to sew it together you sew the bit sticking out that you have left to the edge of the sleeve on each side - then carry on along the rest of the sleeve seam after that. Makes sense? When I finally figured out it seemed obvious but it really wasn’t clear until then!

Finished this today! :) Found 3 buttons that worked well with this colour yarn and attached them in a few minutes. Really pleased with this. It was quick to make, fits beautifully and looks great :) Also lovely and cosy and warm.

One thing to add is that I added a few extra rows of trebles to one side of the collar section as there was no way it was long enough to meet the other bit at the back of the neck. Other than that, all done as the pattern says.
