Autumn hues featuring autumn ewes. A row of sheep…and one wee one…standing in a field filled with beautiful fall colors. The heather colors are all Knit Picks Palette yarns.

I love the sheep on this dress because unlike my other sheep dresses, you never need to carry more than two yarns for the heads.

This dress starts with 92 stitches for the check pattern, decreases to 91 for the sheep and once more in row 27 to end up with the correct number of 36 stitches for the bodice.

I used a long tail cast on of 92 stitches and knit rows 2-5 on straight needles joining in the round on row 6. The long tail cast on is row 1.

At the end of row 10, I decreased a stitch by doing a ssk on the last two stitches. Continue following chart.

I followed my usual dress modifications found here using the reduction given for 90 stitches beginning on row 26. At the end of this row, there will be one stitch left. Simply knit two together as you begin row 27.

The bunny was knit on 2.75mm neeedles using Sublime extra fine merino DK in caramel.
