1/9/2013 Just received photos from my daughter of Little Man in his sweater.

Thoreau: golden greens and brown… like a warm walk in the woods. A perfect foil for my grandsons beautiful brown eyes. ;) NONE of these photos do the color justice. love. love. love. the variations in this yarn.

I used Madelinetosh DK, which made the gauge a bit larger than the desired guage for the pattern. Knowing my boys are growing quickly, I stayed with the 20 stitch/4 in. gauge and just increased the length of the body and sleeves accordingly. Therefore, it is larger than a standard 18 month size (about a 3T). I took every. last. bit. of two skeins.
