Notes

My travel knitting for fall and winter 2016-17.

I had enough yarn to do eight extra rows before the ruffle, and then after the beaded cast-off, to do a row of crochet loops (on 3.5 mm hook). I had only a very small amount of yarn left, as you can see in the photo of the shawl pinned on the blocking boards, which pleased me because I wanted to incorporate as much as possible of the pinky-purple end of the skein.

I enjoyed this project very much and will keep this pattern in mind for the future.

The shawl itself is lovely to wear. The silky yarn is warm and soft, and the beads are very pleasing.
