Notes

It was a fast knit hence the name weekend sweater and easy to follow directions; i would make this again.

This was my first commissioned project. My dad asked me to knit a sweater from my brother in law and my BFF suggested this pattern. So my dad bought the yarn (thank you very much!) and The Salty Sheep’s Peggy helped me with the rest. It has no shaping so it’s perfect for a male or a female.

When I bought the yarn I didn’t realize it was a superwash … I was talking … and I don’t really care for superwash because of the no grippers on the yarn fibers to grab a hold of and to hold it’s gauge. So that is why I made the size 46 knowing that it would block out to a chest size of 50 - which it did. I did the same idea on the sleeves - knitted to 15 inches knowing that it would grow.

This yarn was so easy to work with and so soft and warm.

Also, I didn’t make a true turtleneck, I made the neck band more of a mock turtleneck
