Update 07/25/2014: had to frog a few times because i couldn’t get the size quite right even after swatching. ended up going top-down instead of bottom-up because that gave me the best sizing.

total of 168 stitches for body.

picked up 64 stitches for sleeve. decreased to 40 stitches for wrist.

i bought 9 balls but i think i’ll only be using maybe 5 or 6 total.

Update 08/03/2014: finished; ends weaved in. washed and blocked the sleeves nice and long and it’s just perfect. very happy with the final result. i’m especially happy with the collar ribbing - it turned out much better than i was expecting.
