Edged and backed in cotton velour from my stash.
Fassett’s method of using long lengths of yarn, without bothering with butterflies or bobbins, actually works! Particularly with a yarn like this that you can spit felt. Whenever I run out I just add on another length. It’s so much easier to untangle lose threads than little bobbins/butterflies that threatens to unravel and/or get twisted together into a hopeless snarl!
Individual blocks here.
If I hadn’t found the the coloured charts this throw would never have been started. Most of the greyscale charts in the pattern are completely hopeless to work with.

- Using the following of Kaffe Fassett’s patterns instead of the originals for the duplicate blocks (plus C2 which has a useless chart and C5 which I think is ugly): B1: Floating Circles & Lattice Pattern V-neck Sweater, B3: The Foolish Virgins from Foolish Virgins Scarf, C1: Azerbaijan, C2: Zigzag Jacket, C3: 3D Blocks Throw, C4: Tumbling Blocks from Foolish Virgins Scarf, C5: Tents Waistcoat, C6: Stone Circles, C7: Heatwave throw, D1: Crosspatch Sleeveless Pullover & Tulips, and D2: Outlined Star Child’s Crew-neck Sweater & Puzzle. I’m not making B2 and D3.

2017-12-27: Did some machine quilting to keep the layers from moving about too much. AFTER SEVEN MONTHS AND THREE WEEKS IT’S FINALLY FINISHED!!
