My gauge is off so I’m casting on for a size larger than I hope to get.

I don’t like this way of making the neck. I much prefer casting on all stitches at once and shaping with shortrows.

Using 3.75mm needles for stockinet on body, 3mm for lacework and all rib.

Yarn is quite nice to work with. Much less splitty than it looks and not nearly as hard on my hands as pure cotton. Very similar to Sandnes Line only slightly thinner and MUCH cheaper (though sadly with more knots).

Mods

• using lifted increases,
• increased for sleeves also on last raglan increases before separating,
• used provisional CO for underarm stitches, cast on 1 more on each side and decreased these away on the next r,
• neck picked up slightly fewer stitches for ribbing (using 2.25mm needle), knit 5 r twisted rib, BO in pattern,
• sleeves decreased away extra underarm stitches on first r, 5 r twisted rib, BO in pattern,
• body started lace panel after 20 cm,
• used ssk instead of k2tog on the second eyelet band - it’s easier on my hands,
• knit 1 row between second eyelet band and starting ribbing, 7 r twisted rib, BO in pattern
