On January 4th at my knit/crochet group and yarn de-stash I learned how to do a continuous granny square with some yarn I took away from the de-stash. At the risk of ruining my “yarn snob” reputation I grabbed this huge skein of acrylic figuring it would be good practice yarn for my crochet. I really wasn’t expecting it to become something so usable. Another person at the knit group suggested I trim it with a shell border. My son picked the color for the border and a baby blanket for Andrew was complete in just a week. Gotta love crochet. Andrew was born the day after I started. It was great incentive to finish it.
