10/05/08 - Success! We have a nice plum-coloured top which is now suitable for wearing with black. Yay! It can have a :D now!

09/05/08 - This is now a WIP once more. One too many times deciding not to wear it because the colour didn’t quite go with anything else I own. So it’s sitting in a bucket of Dylon hand-dye, hopefully learning how to be a bit darker and perhaps a little more purple.

Things this project has taught me: thinner wool is not that much slower going than thicker stuff. Also, doesn’t lead to any more mistakes.

Alterations made: Want to make it a bit longer as my stuff always seems to be too short. Added four extra rows to the bit after the picot… adds about 1/2” in length. Then where instruction says to knit to 6” after turning row, am going to 7”. That’s an inch which should be enough.
