Adorable hat knit almost entirely in wonderful Skeinz Vintage DK. It’s the perfect yarn for colourwork, lovely and lofty to fill any cracks!

Really appreciate the designer making this pattern available at no charge. It’s super cute and was a quick, satisfying project. Fabulous photo tutorial for a pom-pom - no cardboard needed!

Got off to a false start with the child size but realised fairly quickly it was going to be too big. I know kids don’t like wearing too-tight hats, but the number of stitches for even the smallest size is more than I’d cast on for a hat for myself.

Mods:
Cast on 104 stitches (toddler size) and knit twisted rib with smaller needles. Followed rest of pattern as written, using chart 1 for the edging but otherwise following row counts and instructions for the child size hat.
