27 feb 21 - actually gave it to Nan to finish

Worked in the round. With double pointed needles size 3.5 mm / US 4 cast on 42 sts on. Insert a marker at beg of round. Work rib K1/P1 until finished measurements. AT THE SAME TIME when piece measures 4 cm inc 1 st each side of marker – incorporate inc sts in rib as you go along. Repeat the inc on every 3 cm a total of 4 times = 50 sts. When piece measures 17cm bind off 6 sts under sleeve for armhole (i.e. 3 sts each side of marker) and complete piece back and forth on needle. Bind off for sleeve cap at beg of every row each side: 2 sts until piece measures 21cm; now bind off 3 sts each side and bind off remaining sts with K over K and P over P.

11 mar - nope, I’m knitting the sleeves. First one almost done. After final increase knit 9 rounds but cast off the last three sts of the round and first three sts of the 10th round.

24 feb - body finished. Glenda’s going to knit the sleeves and I’ll sew them in. Buttons chosen but not sewn on yet. Also did rows of double crochet (uk terms) in 2/3 of neckline.
19 feb 2019 - first buttonhole at 12cm (28 rows after ribbing) bc I knit past 6cm without realising!
