This is pretty rough yarn.

Long tail cast on 4mm needle
Ribbing on 4mm
Hat on 5mm

Should have read the instructions! All of the twisted sts are to be worked tbl on second stitch. Never mind, perhaps just makes hat a bit more relaxed.

Left out decrease round 12 bc I like the top of my hats to be flatter.

i also don’t see the point of using ssp on the right side - ssp and p2tog are identical when worked on the right side - ssp is only useful on the wrong side of the work when you need to maintain the line of decreases on the right side.
