Classic Fair Isle motifs get an update in this modern, slightly slouchy beanie. Named for a character in the PBS show, Home Fires, this hat was inspired by the motifs and colors of vintage Fair Isle sweaters and vests from the 1940s.

The Winding Stream Socks are designed to highlight that special hand dyed yarn in your stash without competing with it. The simple cable pattern is easily memorized and can be worked without a cable needle.

The Beach Pebbles cowl and hat were born after a trip to the Great Lakes region where I grew up. The hexagon shapes resemble the Petoskey stones that can be collected along the lake shores there.

Knitting: Cardigan
Nazar, or evil eye, motifs are seen as decorations all over Turkey and elsewhere. This cardigan takes its inspiration from the small evil eye beads, or nazar boncu, that are commonly pinned to children’s clothing as protection from negative energy.
Knitting: Cardigan
Set-in sleeve cardigan with a flattering scoop neckline and a band of tulips running along the bottom and sleeves. Gentle waist shaping provides a slightly tailored look. Perfect for winter with a pencil skirt (in leather, perhaps?) and boots, it will take you into spring worn over a cute vintage dress. The tulip motif was inspired by the color...
