Crochet: Fingerless Gloves
Here are the finished fingerless mitts in Red Heart’s Hopscotch yarn. I designed these with a thumb gusset for a better fit. I love them! They are super stretchy, by working slip stitch in the back loops only.
Crochet: Throw
Since 2011, I’ve been using mitered squares to make fun projects in a continuous join as you go method. I’ve always used self striping yarn to create the projects because I love creating the illusion of changing colors while letting the yarn do all the work. With this project, which is a remake of a baby blanket I did three years ago, I’ve brou...
Crochet: Coaster
This yarn from Drops is a gorgeous, heathery cotton blend that works great for home dec things like coasters, placemats, table runners and doilies. It blocks out incredibly well. There are lots of colors available and I keep going back to @woolwarehouse
Crochet: Scarf
The gorgeous colorway of Lion Brand Mandala Sparkle is perfect for my fascination with unicorns. It’s so wonderful! I’ve made my project in child size for a special little girl I know but the length can easily be increased by adding more rows. The double thickness makes the scarf comfy and squishy.

Crochet: Coaster
I needed a quick gift for a housewarming this weekend and I was able to get these finished in only one evening. I used Drops Belle cotton/linen because it’s such a beautiful yarn, suitable for a variety of projects.

Crochet: Baby Blanket
This is a lovely little blanket. It’s gorgeous for a photo prop. It’s lightweight, fluffy and warm and made to look like faux shearling, or sherpa. I’ve used this yarn before in my Love My Sheep Pillow. It’s so soft and squishy, softer than cotton. It’s just beautiful.
Crochet: Pillow / Cushion
I found an adorable sheep pillow in a catalog and I couldn’t wait to try one of my own. It fits so well in my rustic style. It’s so fun and would make a perfect gift.

Do you have plans to learn new crochet stitches in the new year? This project will have you learning some fun linked crochet stitches. Linked stitches are just like regular stitches except they don’t produce all the holes normally associated with tall stitches. Crochet: Cowl
Using Red Heart Yarns Unforgettable is such a treat. The way the color changes and the look of the yarn always makes me think that I’m using a much more expensive luxury yarn. It definitely has a wow factor even in the easiest of designs. I enjoy working in Tunisian Crochet with it. It’s got a bit of a halo so it seems to make it easier. Such a...

Crochet: Baby Blanket
I love these two coordinating colors of Red Heart Yarns Super Saver. So pretty and they work so well with this stitch pattern. This blanket is worked in an easy two-row repeat with both written and video instruction. The rows are so short that you can carry up the yarn along the side so you don’t end up with tons of loose strands to weave in. A...

Do you have a pom pom maker? I got my first pom pom maker this year and I really have to stop myself from making pom poms for everything. It’s just two plastic circles and it changed my designing life! I can now make gorgeous floofy pom poms. For this project, I started out by making a long strip with crochet cables. Next, you just crochet from...

Crochet: Scarf
Combining these colors with the fluid movement of the stitch pattern made me think of mermaids in the sun. This stitch pattern is easy to learn and quick to stitch in Tunisian crochet. Add the tassels for the look so popular right now. Only one cake of yarn is required to make this beauty.
Crochet: Baby Blanket
I wanted the perfect baby blanket for the long striping cake yarn and I decided on the seamless, mitered square. It was so much fun! Because I didn’t want any abrupt color changes, I worked from the inside of the cake from the first one and from the outside of the cake on the next one. I love how much it varied the striping heights making it lo...
Crochet: Baby Blanket
This easy stitch pattern creates delicate little waves of texture for a beautiful baby blanket. I’ve used three of my favorite colors in Red Heart Yarns Baby Hugs. Such lovely modern, bright colors for baby. This technique creates striped without cutting off at each color change for fewer yarn ends.
Crochet: Washcloth / Dishcloth
I think I had just watched an episode of Z-Nation when I made this one. It was the one with the glowing radioactive zombies. Woah, glowing zombies! So in remembrance of these glowing zombies, I bring you my Radioactive Scrubs, a washcloth with dueling soft yarn combined with scrubbing yarn in a fun, glowing radioactive warning shape. Yeah, bay-...

You combine a self striping cotton blend yarn with an amazing crochet lace stitch pattern and this is what you get. A lot of wow. It’s all drape-y and flow-y and softy. Yes, softy. Is too a word! It’s a crazy amount of fun to make an entire shawl and you only have two ends to weave. A beautiful thing.

Sometimes, I’m so overwhelmed with the beauty of a project that I love to just stare at it displayed in my mannequin. Is that strange? This is one of those projects. It’s the combination of the fine weight yarn and beautiful beads that got me.

Using a fine weight yarn is perfect for delicate baby things, but finding patterns can be a challenge. Here’s a super quick and classy design. You can make several of these adorable beanies and you can have one for every outfit.

Crochet: Cowl
If you want a cowl to lie more neatly around your neck, try out a mobius design. It’s an infinity loop so it has a little half twist that allows it to overlap in the front. You can achieve this look by learning the technique of working on both the top and bottom of your foundation chain at the same time, as you’ll find in this free crochet patt...
Crochet: Poncho
When you have a yarn this wonderful, it’s okay to let it truly shine in an easy stitch pattern. This is one of my favorite stitch patterns in crochet. It’s easy and quick. And, it’s suitable for beginners to advanced. The design is just a simple rectangle which is seamed or, if you prefer no seaming, you can make a quick crochet join.
Crochet: Washcloth / Dishcloth
There is this really cool color from Lily Sugar’N Cream that is my favorite. It’s the cream color with the little tweedy specks. I love to use it for dishcloths and all kitchen stuff, actually. I may need to try it for other things too. It coordinated well with my decor. It worked great for these washcloths which are in my favorite stitch patte...
Crochet: Cowl
I’m a huge fan of big poofy cables. I love this Hometown USA yarn for giving me these delicious cables in Tunisian crochet. This is a great introduction to Tunisian cables and you don’t even need a Tunisian hook! Just put a rubber band on the end of a size P hook and you’re all set.
Crochet: Cowl
Have you tried using a double ended crochet hook yet? The hooks are the same size and you use two separate balls of yarn. This allows you to change colors on every row without cutting off at each color change. I’m this case, I used the beautiful self striping of Red Heart Yarns Unforgettable and I’ve paired it Red Heart Yarns With Love to give ...
