Knitting: Cape
This aran inspired and fashionable shoulder cape will make a stylish day or evening option. Knit here in a blend of kid mohair and wool spun locally for us in Donegal it is warm and eye catching.

This cabled hat has been a collection silhouette for many years and a real family favourite. The written pattern IP was never made available until now, is fact there was none, we just knit them. it now has the benefit of tweaks over the years too. I enjoyed the process of refining it for publication.
Crochet: Cozy - Other
A fun project suitable for leftovers as it takes about 50g or 100yds of yarn. Pattern is worked in two shades of Donegal wool tweed and a 4.5 mm crochet hook. The pattern will work in most yarns suitable for a 4 or 4.5 hook.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
An 8 stitch repeat structure over 12 rows of pattern (increasing and decreasing on rows 3 and 9 only). All other rows are knit and purl only.
Crochet: Cape
A great basic pattern that will work for a traditional Christening garment (you may want to make it longer), or work as a cape for a flower girl or first communion attire. Designed to be made from one 100g ball of Dk cotton, the pattern is most economical and speedy to produce.

The Rita was inspired by a knitting friend who kept bringing me old patterns asking if I could adapt them as she wanted a car coat style. Also she wanted not too much aran! I decided it would be faster to make up a new jacket. She knit a beautiful pink tweed one and I can tell you the notes have been improved greatly from that first one.

This cowl may be worn folded with the cut out curve to the front or side of neck. Alternatively it may be worn as a single tube bringing it up over the ears and head, to do this put it on ‘upside down’ with the cutaway going over the head last and to the front. It will sit neatly under the chin.
