Materials: Approximately 250-300 yds of any light to medium weight weight yarn (I’ve used a light weight mohair blend for the fuschia scarf pictured) and a Size H crochet hook (English size 6, metric size 5)

You can get creative with the ‘raised’ yarn. I used a multicolored yarn for the earth tones hat, a solid color for the green one and various novelty yarns with for the multicolored one.

This lariat is made in one continuous length - no need to sew pieces together. The white lariat was made with super bulky yarn and the rings were spaced more closely together. The pink one was made with ribbon yarn. The green one was a bulky weight.

This is a very easy project using only basic stitches. Instructions are included for two different styles - with that is fitted at the crown or with a pointed crown. In the photos the multicolored scarf has the pointed hood, while the maroon one is snug against the crown.
