This pattern is written in English. This extensive PDF file contains full instructions for knitting and finishing off a little knitted ram with a nubby sweater and shorts. The pattern is supplied as an instantly downloadable digital PDF file, so you will need a PDF reader such as Adobe Reader to open, print and save the file.

Finished size of the sheep:
approx 22cm (9 inches) from the tip of the toes to the top of the head.

The file is 17 pages long and contains over 60 detailed step-by-step photographs along with full pattern instructions and tips for stuffing, seaming and finishing neatly. Also included are suggestions for lots of different colourways and 2 kinds of optional horns. The sweater uses a slipped stitch pattern to create a nubby texture, if worked in 2 colours these are never used together on the same row but knitted in the manner of 2 row stripes of alternating colour with the slipped stitches giving the pattern.

The pattern is for knitting flat on two needles and all pieces are seamed afterwards. Please note that this project is not a quick or simple knit. It takes me around 14 hours to make and finish each of the animals that I make and just under half of that time is spent on the finishing off. There are lots of separate pieces which require seaming and sewing and if you are looking for something fast and easy you would probably be better off finding a different pattern. That said this PDF file will give you all of the information and techniques that you need to knit the little sheep pictured.
