This pattern is written in English. The pattern is supplied as an instantly downloadable digital PDF file, so you will need a PDF reader such as Adobe Reader to open, print and save the file. Once paid for it will available to download.

Finished size of the sheep:
approx 23 cm (9 inches) from the tip of the toes to the top of the head.

This extensive PDF file contains full instructions for knitting and finishing off a girl lamb in a patterned dress. Also included is an extra dress pattern that is knitted in a single colour and has a textured pattern. There are also instructions for 2 different types of optional horns.

The file is 17 pages long and contains over 60 detailed step-by-step photographs along with full pattern instructions and tips for stuffing, seaming and finishing neatly.

The pattern is knitted flat with worsted weight yarn on 3mm needles and 4ply/fingering weight yarn on 2.5mm for the shoes and lower body. The dress is knitted with fingering/4ply yarn on 2.75mm needles. All pieces are seamed afterwards.

The pattern is written for knitting flat on two needles and all pieces are seamed afterwards. Please note that this project is not a quick or simple knit. It takes me around 14 hours to make and finish each of the animals that I make and just under half of that time is spent on the finishing off. There are lots of separate pieces which require seaming and sewing and if you are looking for something fast and easy you would probably be better off finding a different pattern. That said this PDF file will give you all of the information that you need to knit the little lamb pictured
