This month for our September Crochet Along, I have designed an easy-to-make, textured hat. This hat is created with a simple 1 row repeat using single crochet, half double crochet and double crochet stitches.

The band is worked in front post double crochet and back post double crochet stitches.

The hat is worked completely flat before being seamed into shape. Beginner friendly!

The 2021 Easy Does It Textured Hat is crocheted with yarn sent to me by King Cole. Last week’s matching scarf pattern also uses this yarn, along with a 6 mm (J) hook.

The color I chose is called Ocean and it is all different tones of blue, with some white.

The stitch multiple for this project is included in my post so you can use this stitch pattern for other projects too.

This pattern is available for free on my blog which is monetized by ads, beginning on September 26, 2021 at 7 pm EST. If you prefer an ad-free version of the pattern, it is available to purchase right here on Ravelry.
