The 2021 Happy to Be Here Hat is available in 5 sizes, small child (age 3-5 years), child (age 6-10 years), teen, adult (medium) and adult (large).

The Happy to Be Here Hat (and Scarf) both feature the Bead Stitch. Find the Scarf here.

The NEW Caron Cotton Ripple Cakes has blips of thicker yarn (little bumps) throughout which gives the Bead Stitch a very rustic look. It is a Cotton yarn which means it makes a breathable fabric.

The Adult Medium sized Hat used 236 yards (216 m) of yarn to complete.

GAUGE: Approximately 12 sc per 4 inches; 6 sets of (1 bead stitch, ch 1) per 4 inches; 10 rows worked in pattern (R3 and R4) per 4 inches and 16 rows sc per 4 inches

The Happy to Be Here Hat is worked flat, back and forth in rows. Once complete we seam the side edge and close up the top.

To make the hat less slouchy you can omit repeats of Row 3 and Row 4.

This pattern is available for free on my blog which is monetized by ads. If you prefer an ad-free version of the pattern, it is available to purchase right here on Ravelry.
