The scarf is crocheted using the half double crochet thermal stitch, which produces a sturdy fabric that is not stiff and the scarf still has great movement.

I love how the scarf feels when I pinch it between my fingers, it has that squish factor that makes for a great cold weather wearable.

This month for our December Crochet Along, I have designed a warm winter scarf using the thermal half double crochet stitch.

This project is crocheted with Medium Weight Yarn 4 and a 6 mm (J) hook. A video tutorial is available to help you with the stitch and making the scarf.

This pattern is available for free on my blog which is monetized by ads. If you prefer an ad-free version of the pattern, it is available to purchase right here on Ravelry.
